Sean Loughran

A Geelong local, Sean enjoys filling his time teaching music, swing dance and being the drummer in legions of bands spanning genres such as Irish Punk, Funk and ending in his love of Blues, Jazz and Swing music. If you’ve seen a band playing jazz around Geelong and the Surfcoast, there’s a fair chance he was the drummer!

Sean began dancing back in 2004 under the tutelage of Nigel Holloway, always having wanted to know the art of dancing with a partner whilst being able to improvise, just like playing in bands, swing was it! Having already played the music for a long time, he discovered dancing to it and finding the link between the music and movement became a great passion.

Whether it be on the dance floor or stage, with a partner or with bandmates, Sean brings a joyful and musical approach to life, always looking forward to the next chance to dance or provide that beat that makes you want to get up and dance!
