Jono Chee

At the tender age of nine, Jono Chee was mesmerized by the sounds of a brass band playing jazz and developed a love for that hot, rhythmic music. He was super excited to find out (many years later!) that people actually danced to jazz music. 

After some haltering first steps, Jono was bitten by the social dance bug in 2007 and has been immersed in the jazz age ever since. After many years in the dance scene in Sydney and Melbourne learning, performing, teaching, DJing and organizing late-night parties, Jono's two favourite things are still the music and the social dancing. Oh, and all the rad people who dance!

Jono kicks about with that most excellent group of people (and dancers), Echoes of Harlem, which fires his love for exploring music through dance and dance through music.
