What
Thursday nights we go hard on the jazz with a level 4 lindy hop class, a beginner tap dance class, and a tap jam. All of them are drop-in sessions. If you’re looking for a night of dance that will challenge and inspire you, this fits the bill.
The beginner tap dance class is open to everyone: perfect for lindy hoppers who want to become rhythmically precise in their dancing; ideal for people who just want to get moving.
The lindy hop class is not for beginners; you will work hard here. See our curriculum page for the details, talk to a teacher, or drop us a line.
Thomas takes us from the beginning of rhythm tap, focussing on improvisation, accuracy, and the joy of rhythm. He teaches calm, welcoming classes that begin and end with music.
The tap jam is open to everyone: a low-key, friendly space for making friends with other dancers, and with jazz.

WHAT
Sundays we spend an afternoon jamming with friends, in sessions led by innovative dancer and teacher, Miya Miyazaki, and one of the world’s most respected solo jazz artists, Ramona Staffeld. Teaching these classes have proved so popular with the teachers that we’ll see a rotating teaching staff on Sundays.
In Solo Jazz Essentials, we do good, solid jazz fundamentals. We watch archival footage for inspiration, we learn a dance step or two, and then play with them.
In Mix It Up, we take those dance steps and experiment with them, work with buddies to choreograph, improvise, and mix it up.
