But Let us know. We have a solid refund policy, and we want to know you’re ok.

Saturday Daytime Workshops

When

Saturday 19th November

Where

Dance Factory, 225 Swan St, Richmond

COST

Individual workshops are $30, and all are included with the Full Weekend Pass and the Saturday Pass.

What

One day of workshops that will give us a chance to celebrate the jazz continuum: lindy hop, solo jazz, and tap dance.

Why mixed level? Because mixed level classes best reflect the social dancing world. And you get to dance with a range of people and make friends for the evening dance. If you're an experienced tapper or hardcore dancer, this is your chance to check out how these teachers work, and put their ideas to the test. If you're new to these styles... well. You're the LUCKIEST.

Making Jazz With Dancers

When

  • 7.00pm Saturday 19th November

Where

Forever Dance, Level 1/432 Church St, Richmond

COST

This workshop is $60 when purchasing a Saturday evening Party ticket, or is included with the Full Weekend Pass and Saturday Pass.

What

A special session where two jazz fans who have long experience with live music and dancing teach us about making live music with dancers: Leigh who’s been playing for dance bands all over the world for years, and Ramona, who’s dancing and teaching with live bands since she was a teenager.

They run a practical session to have you thinking and dancing like a musician.

Sunday Session

When

Sunday 20th November

  • 1pm Solo Jazz Essentials

  • 2pm Mix It Up

Where

Forever Dance, Level 1/432 Church St, Richmond

COST

Each of these workshops is $20, or they are included with the Full Weekend Pass.

What

Join the Sunday Session time slot and take two classes with Ramona and Miya, and see how they put their Learning With Jazz concept into action.

Solo Jazz Essentials: Ramona will take us from archival footage to dance floor, showing how we can be guided by history to flesh out our dancing knowledge.

Mix It Up: Miya will take us from those essential jazz steps to new social dance skills. Can you jam? Are you curious about trading turns? Do you want to explore choreography and team work? We've got it.

These are good sessions for dancers who are exploring solo jazz and this new way of learning, whether you're a student or teacher (or both!)
